Volunteerism….A vibrant part of The Mutual Fund Store® Foundation
The need for help is year-round.
Employees from The Mutual Fund Store® Corporate Headquarters and Overland Park,
Kansas, office locations spent a summertime afternoon with the children of
Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City nonprofit dedicated to helping children
who live in poverty develop to their fullest potential.
The objective was simple… bring a little fun and sunshine into the lives of these young children. Several employees brought their spouses and children to join in the fun. Each volunteer from The Mutual Fund Store® partnered with an Operation Breakthrough child, and the afternoon was spent working on art projects and exploring a newly planted vegetable garden. The afternoon was topped off with a guaranteed crowd-pleaser – an ice cream party.
The kids from Operation Breakthrough enjoyed themselves, and The Mutual Fund Store® employees and their families felt inspired and enriched by the experience. It feels good to volunteer, to get involved, and to help others.
This is just one more example of The Mutual Fund Store® Foundation in action – reaching out to others who are less fortunate and reaching into the heart of a community to make it a healthier, happier and better place.
Let's join together and help make this world a better, happier and healthier place.
It is important to note that, at this time, The Mutual Fund Store® Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant requests. We know there are a staggering number of unmet needs in every community, and we wish we could be there for everyone. Unfortunately, it isn't possible for that to happen. Please continue to check The Mutual Fund Store®'s Web site for future funding changes and guidelines.
